How to unblur text on Course Hero with Inspect Element
The best way to unblur Course Hero answers is by using the Inspect feature available in all desktop browsers. With it, you can remove the blur and view any answer on the website.
Here’s how to do it. In this guide, we will use Google Chrome as an example, but the method is similar for all browsers.
1. Visit Course Hero via a desktop browser
Open a web browser on your computer and go to a page on Course Hero that contains the answer you’re looking for.
2. Right-click and select “Inspect”
Right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect from the menu that appears. This may be called Inspect Element in other browsers such as Safari and Opera.
“Inspect” is a feature that all modern web browsers. It lets you view the HTML content of a page and modify it in real-time. With this feature, we can remove the lines of code responsible for blurring Course Hero answers.
3. Go to the “Sources” tab
At the top, there will be a number of tabs available. Click on the Sources tab to open it.
4. Open the “split-0-page-1-html-bg.jpg” file in a new tab
On the side of the Sources tab, you will see a list of the files that have been loaded by the webpage.

At the top of your browser, the URL of the file will be displayed. Highlight the portion that has “-html-bg” and remove it by pressing the backspace key on your keyboard.

6. The first half of the answer is now unblurred and displayed
Once you complete the previous step, the image will load without the blur and the first half of the answer will be displayed.
You can right-click on the image and select Save Image to save the unblurred text to your computer.
7. Change “split-0” to “split-1” in the URL to unblur the remaining half of the answer
To view the remaining half of the answer, you have to change “split-0” in the URL to “split-1”.
Once you do so, the remaining half of the answer will become unblurred. Once again, right-click and save the image to your computer.
Change “page-1” to “page-2” to view the next page
If there is a next page of answers, you can change “page-1” in the URL to “page-2” and then repeat the previous step to unblur both halves of the answer.
Repeat this until all the pages have been unblurred and you have saved their images to your computer.
